Hi Holly,
I love your tutorial series on the Flexibility theme. I’m trying to figure out how to remove the 2 top sidebars that I won’t be using. I have made a static website so I don’t need the “recent posts” or “recent comments” bars. However, if I can edit them to place information in them like the “about my blog” bar then I’ll keep them. Any suggestions. The website is at http://www.rgvadzone.com/services.
Thanks,
Ernesto Lopez
Ernesto,
Thanks for the complement. I talk about the top sidebar in this video.

Hope this helps.

Hi Holly,
Thanks so much for these great videos. Do you have one on how to add your disclaimers, terms, privacy, etc to the footer in the Flexibility3 theme?
Thanks again,
Patricia
Hi Holly, thanks for great video tutorials. I am wondering about 2 things.
1. How does the seo capabilities of this theme compare to thesis theme which I’m told is really great coding for seo built in?
2. I have an existing site will this break my site if I upload it to a site that’s already got quite a few posts, lots of plugins such as wish list member and others?
Thanks
Elaine
Elaine,
1. I have used both the Flexibility theme and the thesis theme successfully for SEO purposes. I am not sure that one theme is any better than the other for SEO purposes. If you’re using the All In One SEO–and updating the fields for each post you should be o.k.
We also use the SEOPressor plugin–which helps a lot–while it is a paid plugin–our team LOVES it.
2. I would always do a complete backup before changing a theme on an existing site with quite a few posts, wishlist, etc. BEFORE trying a new theme–I have changed the theme on several sites from one to the other; however, I wouldn’t do it without a backup of both the content and databases.
We use wptwin.net to clone sites–love this
We also use backupbuddy to backup our sites
Thanks
Holly

Hi Holly I am using Flexibility3 and wondered how to add a Contact Us page to my website, can you help Please.
Thanks Brian
You can use the Menus option under appearance. You can also add the pages and they should show up. Let me know if you need my help.
Hello Holly! How do I (add)make Categories Titles to my Nav area below the header the home button showed up by default.
Thanks and God bless you!
Willie
Hi Willie,
Shoot-I’m sorry I’m just now answering this. Did you get it figured out? You could build a custom menu–and have a sub-menu with Categories–using the Menu’s option. Have you tried that?
Hi holly these videos have been a lifesaver and a moneysaver. Did you do a video about how to add facebook, twitter and youtube links like you have in your header?
Hi,
I found your blog and look forward to watching these videos. Brilliant.
Regards
Donald
Hi Nicole,
I used the header widget (in the widget) area to get my social icons in the top right side of the header.
My secret? Click on add post, add your social icons (feel free to steal mine–just right click and save image as). Link your social widgets to your social sites.
Click on the html tab and there is your fancy, schmancy html code for the right side of your header–pop that code into your widget area and it should work–as long as you have a “shorter width” header so your social icons can work.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Hi Holly, I have been learning how to use Flexibility following your video (Great) and recently bought flexsqueeze but at this stage only playing with it on a play subdomain.
I have also recently bought a MP4 video (size is 21.2MB) kept in my picture library and I am not having success in uploading it on a page. Am I doing it wrong?
Sylvia,
Thanks for the feedback. So you loaded an mp4 video to your media library right? Is that what you mean? My videos are loaded to my amazons3 account and I a player installed that plays my videos. Give me a call and maybe I can help work this out with you. 910-351-0114
You do a fantastic job on the videos. I wish all tutorial videos were that well done and concise.
Can a slider be added to the Flexibility3 theme, and if so where and how? I’d love to see a video on that.
Thanks,
Charles
Charles,
Do you mean a slider plugin? or do you want your feature top area to have slider capability?
That can be done with your widget.
I’ll see if I can shoot a video about that shortly.
Really, authentically enjoy your teaching. Appreciate you sharing these valuable insights.
Kyle
Kyle,
I appreciate the feedback!

Hi there,
Me again … actually, 2 places for slider activity would be my preference …. namely the featured top area, which out of the box is split into 2 areas, would like to combine into 1 area for featured slider, and the sidebar area for rotating ad space in an attempt to monetize the side bar. I managed a slider in a site I’m building at present, but only half of the “featured top” was used … it works, and while I have that one in place, what do I do with the other half? the rotating ads in the sidebar is a problem I’m still working on.
Thanks for any suggestions available on sidebar ad rotator plugins which play well with featured slider plugins.
Charles
Charles,
What is your website? so I can take a look.
Holly
Charles,
The 5 videos I talk about the top feature area should help you customize that area of your site.
The top feature is actually broken up into 3 areas. You could wipe out the code and paste your code.
Go to appearance/editor/feature.php to edit it.
I always copy the original code just in case I want it back.
Hope this helps.
